Poem

BASEBALL
by
Mike McHugh
(an acrostic poem)
Baseball is my favorite sport
Ask me anything about the game
Stealing is taking a chance
Errors don’t help to win
Bunting all the time to advance your runner
Always try to catch the ball
Losing stinks, we all like to win
Life without baseball would be such a bore

Ideal day in my Utopian city

1 pg Journal entry for your blog an Ideal day in you blog world

An ordinary day for an ordinary person in my Utopian community is simple. All you do is play sports, go to school, and sleep. You first go to school until 12:30. The good thing about practices is that they last a long time but you can an do your homework between school and practice. You must love your sport because practices last a long time. A normal practice will last about four and a half hours. After practice, if you still have homework, you can finish it, but if not, you relax, eat dinner, and watch TV. If your family likes to play board games, this is when you would play. By now you should be very tired from practice. It is 10:00 and you should be going to bed after you brush your teeth and get ready for bed.

persuasive letter

Dear People,

You definitely want to come live in my ideal city. It has all you can do sports and everything else you would want to do in a life time. Almost every house will have a pool because it gets real hot in the summer. There is always going to be a baseball field and a football/soccer field somewhere in every neighborhood. There is a clubhouse in every neighborhood with every kind of exercise equipment you could imagine. There are also free weights, treadmills, and a stationary bike in the weight room. Also, there is a spa and heated indoor pool . I promise you that my Ideal city won't let you down. So come and visit my ideal city. Maybe you will stay and get trapped with the love of imagination.

The Ideal owner,

Mike

Declaration of Independence

I like our community but i also don't like it. I like it because it is about saving the earth. Also, I like that adults and kids are trying to prevent future kids from being obese. I like that there are sports, but also electronics to give kids break from being to tired and not wearing themselves out. My utopian community is going to follow all the things above.

What I don't like about our community is that there is to much gang and violence. People get killed by being shot by gangs. My utopian community will not have gangs. There are a lot of auto-theft and robberies that shouldn't happen. I think that is dumb if you rob or steal something because there is no sense of doing it when there are video cameras around the store. the video cameras will rat you out and you will be sent to jail. My utopian community will be the opposite of the above.

Utopian seal

I chose this seal i made because i made. I picked the number 10 because that is my baseball number and it represents me. I chose NO SWEAT, NO LOVE, NO GAME because it is my motto. If you look at the United States seal it has the United States motto on the border of it.

Utopian animal

I choose a Golden Retriever and a Yellow Lab as my animal. Golden Retrievers and Yellow Labs are the best kind of animals in the world because they always want to be your friend. I dosen't matter what kind of mood you are in they always cheer you up. When you are sad they start licking you to cheer you up. When you are happy they always want to play with them. There fur is always soft and is comfortable to lay on when you are tired. Golden Retriever and Yellow labs are the best animals in the world.

Slogan/motto

NO SWEAT, NO LOVE, NO GAME

I chose this slogan because it is true about sports. If you don't sweat while playing a sport it shows that you don't truly love the game. If you don't love the game then why are you even playing the sport.
